About the trip

Experience a 6-day trip in Santorini off-season!

Make a real gift to yourself and travel to one of the most famous islands worldwide, the unique Santorini! Travel through October to meet a quieter but truer face of the island that will allow you to get to know it deeply and meaningfully!

The team of Ef-Zin Greece will accompany you on this journey and show you another way of life: the Greek way of slow travel and living! Because travel is experience but also learning!

Joining our team will allow you to immerse yourself in a slower pace of life that is based on the customs and interactions of the islanders.

The island of Santorini

The volcano that formed this enchanted island is responsible for its exceptional beauty!

This island has a rich history that has been lost since the Minoan era, as demonstrated by the exceptional Museum of Prehistoric Thera featuring its magnificent 3,700-year-old renowned frescoes, the original sites spread throughout the island, and the unique archaeological site of the city of Akrotiri!

Take in the breathtaking view from the well-known caldera, which draws tourists from all over the world.

With a famous vineyard, famous wines, and unique agricultural products, even today, locals can live with self-sufficiency and joy!

Come explore this place with us from the beginning and let us be your hosts in a meaningful and distinctive way of life that is still going strong!

During our trip:

Visits are framed by culture, history, stories to tell, old and new habits, gastronomy, local products, and much love for our place! Visits that will allow us to connect and build strong bonds of friendship by offering you warm hospitality!

The hospitable courtyard of Canava Santino in Messaria is the place where the main activities of Ef-Zin Greece take place in Santorini. The old winery (canava, as it is called locally) of 1827 has been converted into four traditional house around a wonderful green common courtyard, while from its terrace, you can enjoy the magnificent view of the ruined mansions of merchants and winemakers and listen to their shocking stories!

Messaria is a traditional village located in the heart of Santorini and was, in the 19th century, the commercial center of the island. It still retains the character of a village that follows a more relaxed pace of life, and one finds authentic expressions of the island way of life.

We also visit the capital of the island, Fira, with its famous view of the Caldera and the volcanoes of Palea and Nea Kammeni, while at the Museum of Prehistoric Thera, we admire the amazing findings that bring to life the life of the island centuries ago.

We couldn't help but visit the famous Oia and its neighbor, the medieval village of Finikia. There, we will hear wonderful stories about the village and its people, and our origins there will allow us to access some places off the tourist route!

If it is a city that, in its silence, cries out for its rich history, it is the ancient city of Akrotiri, where the lava of the volcano that covered it preserved its findings and gave the certainty that not long ago, its inhabitants abandoned it for some reason.
